For more information, please view the California Education Code Section 35183 – School Uniforms. This section provides guidelines for the adoption and implementation of school uniform policies in California public schools. It allows schools to require uniforms as long as certain conditions are met, such as parental input and provisions for waivers for students who cannot afford uniforms. Additionally, the policy must be consistent with the school’s educational objectives.
